I want to be a Deka Scanlation Member because I really like reading Deka Wanko. My first encounter of Deka Wanko was when I was reading about Mikako Tabe in DramaWiki (since I'm a fan of her movie Kimi ni todoke). I got to read about Mikako's other shows and from there I found out that one of her recent show is Deka Wanko. I look into it and I found out that in this show she won best actress(meaning she played very well here) and this show also won best drama series so it interest me. I instantly want to have a copy of this drama but unfortunately I can't obtain a copy(because I don't know where to get one). Because of this difficulty, I gave up searching. I thought to myself since its hard, I'll just try to read the manga version so that somehow I can know its plot. And so I started downloading manga scans and started reading. At first it does not really interest me but when I continue on reading I came to like it (and came to LIKE IT A LOT). I love Wanko especially her team up with Kirishima (hope that their relationship would turn to something more meaningful). I love Yanagi and the rest of the squad 6! Since I came to like/love this manga, I searched for more scans of Deka Wanko in the web but most of the manga sites I visited have only limited scans and it take so long for them to update. I can't wait to read more and I'm so looking forward for more difficult and thrilling cases and especially progress in Wanko x Kirishima. If only I can download the latest chapters now. :( So in desperation, I searched again in the web for a site that gives the most updated scans and luckily I came across DEKA SCANS. From its name itself, you can easily tell that it is all about Deka Wanko. So l look into it and I'm so glad to know that this group gives the latest chapters of Deka Wanko. I would like to be a part of such a group with the same interest as me. Thus, I would like to be a member of DEKA SCANS. Hope that I will be welcomed here.

Why I joined live journal
I never knew live journal before (never heard of it but I think I've seen it before in the web) . I just recently searched it in the internet. It was when I was searching for a site that offers Deka Wanko manga scans I found out about live journal. From the searched results Deka Scans appeared, a community in live journal. I look into this community and I find it interesting (and beneficial as well) so I signed up for live journal so I can join the group(Deka Scans). So thats how I found out about live journal and why I joined this social network. :)

Searching for a Community
I really want to learn about photo editing. I'm still in the process of learning the basics so I'm looking for a group of photo editors where the members share their styles, techniques and etc.(anything related) on photo editing. And a group with administrators that are approachable and friendly (including the members as well). I really hope that will find this kind of group. (I'm searching though using the "Search by Interest" but at the moment I can't find the group that I like). Anyone who can suggest a group?

Deka Wanko Commentary
I thought about this for quite some time now, what else I should post in my journal to update it (hmm...). Then I thought since I made this journal so I can join the Deka Scans community (because I really like Deka Wanko a lot), I'll just devote this journal to Deka Wanko then. Starting today I will be writing about Deka Wanko especially about the chapters I've read so far (my likes & dislikes , most memorable scenes for me in the chapters, my hopes & anticipation of the upcoming volumes and etc.) I'll be sharing a lot and I'm excited!

Deka Wanko Live Action
Before I knew about Deka Wanko manga, I've read first about Deka Wanko live action. When I've learned about the live action, I was so excited to watch the series. The first thing I did was to search in the web for episodes. Unfortunately, its hard to get a copy of the series but still I'm able to get glimpses of some of the episodes. From there I got to see the actors/actress who played the characters (in short the cast).
I'm well pleased with the actress & actor who played the role of Wanko and Kirishima. I am also satisfied wIith the actors who played the rest of the squad 6 except the actor who played Yanagi. How can he look so different from the Yanagi I've known in the manga! I can't believe it! I check the web many times if its really true (cause I can't believe my ears, he's called Yanagi in the series). His character is so different. He's not the cool Yanagi I know. I tell myself that he's a different Yanagi (not the Yanagi in squad 6) because of disbelief. When I saw the actor who played Tanaka for the first time, I thought he was playing Yanagi. I really think he's so suitable for the role. He has the absolute qualities to play the role of Yanagi (tall,handsome,cool & so much more). But why is he Tanaka!
Also I've noticed in the series, I've never saw Komatsubara (since so far I've only watched episodes 1 & 3 and glimpses of other episodes). In my opinion, the actor who played Yanagi is more suitable to play the role of Komatsubara (he acts like Komatsubara). :)
Overall I really like the live action. Wanko is so cute! I like her dresses, shoes, accessories, bags (in short I like her style!). Congrats to Mikako Tabe! She really did a good job as Wanko!

Squad 6
Soon I will be writing commentaries about the detectives of Squad 6. I'll be starting today one at a time. I myself is very excited about this. Here's the list and order of the detectives I'm gonna write an entry.

Yanagi
I think that every fan of Deka Wanko will agree with me that Yanagi is a one topnotch detective. He's intelligent and does outstanding performance in investigations/cases. Not just that, he's handsome, cool (he's always composed when dealing matters) and a gentleman. He's really my type of guy!

Wanko x Kirishima
When I think of Deka Wanko, I always think of Wanko x Kirishima. They are inseparable in my thoughts. I'm a total fan of their team up and this will be the focus of this entry.

In the first few chapters of Deka Wanko, from the time Wanko became Kirishima's partner I noticed that Kirishima is often irritated/annoyed of Wanko (I pitied Wanko for that) but in the later chapters I've seen that he's becoming soft towards her. He becomes concerned of Wanko, he acknowledge Wanko's talent (dog-like sense of smell), starting to listen to Wanko's ideas and trust her. (Could it mean something?) Though he still show some signs of annoyance of Wanko (by calling her names). But I'm positive of this sudden change in Kirishima.
In Wanko's side I guess she started liking (officially) Kiri when Kiri rescued her when she was taken as hostage (refer to Chapter 30 for full story). Before that she just consider Kiri as her partner. In later chapter she's really into Kiri and the evidence of it is her wanting to sniff him.
I really think Wanko and Kirishima are pretty suitable for each other. (Don't you think so too?) I'm hoping that their relationship will progress (as partners to friends to more than friends and to lovers :) ). Go Wanko! Go win Kiri's heart!

Kirishima
Before I started reading Deka Wanko, my eyes are already set on Kirishima. I already like him from the start because he's the partner of Wanko (learned of him from DramaWiki). He's such a heartthrob! Like Yanagi, Kirishima is also my type except for his short temper. He often gets irritated/annoyed with Wanko ever since they became partners. Wanko
Wanko is the only detective I know who wears lolita fashion. She has a very unusual style for a detective (making her unique). Not just that, she is also gifted with a rare talent and that is her dog-like sense of smell. That is what fascinates me of Wanko (and fascinates other fans too, I think). She is such an interesting character! I wonder what else she can do with her sense of smell.

Komatsubara
My impression of Komatsubara is a guy who is easily distracted when he sees young beautiful girls and acts creepy in front of them though he has some fine qualities. He's not bad as a detective and good at kendo. (He's quite handsome too.)
I think there's more to him than meets the eye.

Shigemura
One noticeable fact about Shige is his baldness. It's his mark. I think that's what make him unique from the rest of the Squad 6. (I wonder how he got bald.)
Shige is well known in his department for his expertise on interrogation. He's the oldest in the squad 6 and the most experienced (detective) among them. Many wants to be partnered with him to be trained (evident of it is Komatsubara).

Wada
In the first chapter, Wanko wants to call Wada as Gori but he bluntly refuse it. (He look like a Gori to me though). I just thought if Wada is called Gori then how about Hanchou? He looks like a Gori too. (heheheh...) I think Wada's looks adds to his appeal as a judo artist.

Wada is the one who taught Wanko the rocket hit and I hope he will teach Wanko more judo techniques so she can protect herself somehow from the attacks of criminals (or she can attack the criminal in order to arrest it).
I'm happy for Wada for having a lovely wife who supports him.

Monma
Monma is the boss of Squad 6. He's called Hanchou by his squad members . He has a short temper and looks very scary when in bad mood (like a wild gorilla). Though he has a frightening aura, he is somewhat soft inside. He truly cares for his team though he's not showy about it.

Michael x Kirishima
I think the team up of Michael and Kirishima was memorable! In chapter 11, Kiri went to Michael to ask him a favor and that is to track Wanko's whereabouts. Wanko was missing and Kirishima was to blame so he went looking for her. Since Kiri has no idea where to search, he went to Michael and so off they go. I remember how Kirishima beg Michael to help him. It was really funny!!! ("I ask you as man to man." *imitating Kiri's voice*) Both of them look cute together. When they we're on the search, it was Michael who was leading. Here Michael acts more like a man towards Kiri (heading the pursuit). It's really hilarious!
Hope that I'll see them teamed up again.

Scary Wet Look
I have a comment about the image of Wanko, Kiri and Wada drenched in chapter 57 when they fall from a cliff into the sea. Their wet look is very scary. The water from their face appears like melted skin. And when Wanko was striving to reach the surface, she looks very creepy (she has a very weird face, big eyes and wide open nostrils).

Did you notice the change?
I really wonder if other readers notice what I've noted. Kiri and Wanko's hair look changed. At the start, Kiri has a short hairn (and it suits him well) but later as I continue reading the next chapters, I noticed that his hair grew like in an instant. I wonder if the author Morimoto Kozueko did it on purpose. Also Wanko's hair was drawn in the later chapters differently. At first, Wanko's hair was less curly (big curls I think) but as the story continues it became curlier (very curly I say). And these changes were very soon done.
Honestly, I like Kiri's short hair better. Though he's longer hair makes him look friendlier (less frightening). Also, I like Wanko's big curls better than her present curlier hair. She looks more mature (less childish) with her big curls.

The best memories I remember with my dad was when I was little. I used to piggy-back on my dad whenever I want to and I really like it especially when I'm too tired to walk. I also like to sit on his lap. It's my way of showing him that I'm his little girl and to be sweet to him. My favorite of them all is when my father carries me to bed whenever I fell asleep in the living room while watching television. There are times when his about to carry me to bed, I woke up but then pretends to be asleep so he'll just carry me.
